| About

This study abroad program allows UND students with a background in German language to immerse themselves in the language and culture of Germany. The university also hosts several student activity groups offering opportunities for involvement in music and theatre.

| Location

The University of Regensburg, located in the Bavarian region of Germany, offers a wide range of academic specialties and modern research facilities. Regensburg is a city with a rich history, and most of the architecture in the city was undisturbed during WWII. The main features of the city include the Cathedral in the center of town and the old Roman bridge spanning the Danube.

| Academics

Students participating in the exchange enroll in regular university classes taught in English or German and live in university residences situated throughout the city of Regensburg. In addition, the University of Regensburg offers a free six-week course in German language before the start of classes for students who need to strengthen their language skills.

| Housing

Exchange students are eligible for student housing, and apply for housing as part of their application to the University of Regensburg.  Student accommodations are located throughout the city, and the International Office will take your budget restrictions into account when assigning housing. All student housing is single, furnished rooms with a private bath and shared kitchen. There are student cafeterias on campus, but there are no pre-arranged meal plans.
